Whatever the intent was, I do, and must assume that such intent was benign, because it was my first impression of what I thought was done to/for me, regardless whether what has happened since.

Whether it be chronically lapses of judgement or the impact of events occurred over time, I learnt that it takes deliberate efforts for me to keep myself balanced, if not positive, and be able to try to be grateful and not ruled by fear and rage, however deep and intense they were.

sometimes I do not get to choose what and whether I have internalized; sometimes I do.
